President Biden Joins CNN's Anderson Cooper In His First Public Appearance Since The Campaign

In his first such public appearance since the campaign, President Biden joined CNN's Anderson Cooper on stage last night in Milwaukee in a town-hall-style discussion.

It did not go well... but you'd never know that if you only read the mainstream media.

The president faced no pushback from Mr.Cooper for failing to denounce China’s Uyghur genocide calling it a "cultural norm", or claims that black or brown 'folks' don't know how to use the internet, that military is fueling the "growth of white supremacy, or the fact that he wakes up every morning wondering "where the hell are we?"

WNU Editor: There were times that he looked genuinely lost. I am still trying to digest his remarks on China's human rights abuses .... Why Is President Biden Trying To Explain Away China Human Rights Violations?

Sir--
You would do well to read what Biden has said about the issue you belittle him for. You are wrong. And you get that nonsense from Fox, which you consider not MSM?
Here is an example of the morons that align with the Right:

Some Facebook users blamed President Joe Biden — not for a particular policy, but for the storm itself.

In a Feb. 15 post, Scott L. Biddle wrote that the storm resulted from "weather manipulation and controlling the jet stream" — something he assured people is "not a conspiracy theory."

"Joe Biden's ‘Dark Winter’ statement was not a random thought, it was a foreshadow of what was to come," Biddle wrote. "Texas is the only state to have its own, entirely independent electric grid separate from the rest of the United States. This is warfare, an attack on Texas by altering the jet stream, seeding the clouds, and ultimately causing the storm that blacked out over 4 million people."

"Sound crazy? Too hard to believe? Believe it."

MILWAUKEE, Wis. (Reuters) - China will pay a price for its human rights abuses, U.S. President Joe Biden warned on Tuesday, responding to queries at a televised event on the Asian nation's handling of Muslim minorities in its far western region of Xinjiang.

Chinese President Xi Jinping has drawn global criticism for holding the minority Uighurs in internment camps and other human rights abuses.

"Well, there will be repercussions for China and he knows that," Biden said of Xi, when pressed on the issue at the town hall event televised on broadcaster CNN.

The United States will reassert its global role in speaking up for human rights, Biden said, adding that he would work with the international community to get China to protect them.

"China is trying very hard to become a world leader and to get that moniker and be able to do that they have to gain the confidence of other countries," Biden said on his first official trip since taking office as president in January.

"As long as they are engaged in activity that is contrary to basic human rights, it is going to be hard for them to do that," he added.

In a two hour phone call with Xi this month, Biden emphasized the U.S. priority of preserving a free and open Indo-Pacific region, where the United States and China are major strategic rivals.

He also voiced concern about Beijing’s "coercive and unfair" trade practices and rights issues, such as its Hong Kong crackdown, the Xinjiang internments, and increasingly assertive actions in Asia, including toward Taiwan, which China claims as its own.

Newly confirmed Secretary of State Antony Blinken did not hesitate to express his agreement with a determination made on the last day of the Trump administration that China's treatment of its Uighur and Muslim minority populations is genocide.

"My judgment remains that genocide is committed against the Uighurs, and that hasn't changed," Blinken said Wednesday in his first remarks as secretary from the State Department podium.

The genocide determination presented a massive parting shot at China's Communist Party (CCP) leaders; the U.S. is the first country to make the designation.

Hours earlier, Linda Thomas-Greenfield, President Biden's nominee to be the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, described the actions against the Uighurs as "horrific," but she suggested that the Trump State Department may not have followed all the procedures necessary in formally designating the CCP as carrying out genocide.

Gulchehra Hoja, a member of Washington, D.C.'s Uighur community and American citizen interviewed by CBS in 2019, said, "I am in tears. My heartfelt gratitude to the U.S. government, particularly the State Department, for determining the atrocities against my people to be genocide, after all the pain and suffering we have gone through."

On January 19, outgoing Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said the CCP was guilty of "arbitrary imprisonment or other severe deprivation of physical liberty of more than one million civilians, forced sterilization, torture of a large number of those arbitrarily detained, forced labor, and the imposition of draconian restrictions on freedom of religion or belief, freedom of expression, and freedom of movement."

The Corporate MSM have picked up right where they left off when DJT took office. It's as if the intervening 4 years never happened. What a shock! (not)

Wow. I cannot even wrap my head around this. What an absolute disaster. The fact that this guy is in charge of the nuclear launch codes makes me way more fearful than when Trump was.

Slow Joe is not in charge of the nuclear launch codes. President Harris is.

And that is depressing. Sure I know the dumb bitch is a hack. I know she climbed the 1st rung (or more) by spreading her legs.

But this is what really kills me. It was her interview on corona virus. She complained that there were no inventory stockpiles of corona, when she became president. The vaccine was just approved in November and is used almost as soon as it comes off the production lines unless one lives in a blue state.

What kind of fool complains about inventory levels of a highly perishable product that was invented last fall and currently has a 5 month wait list?

That really got to me. That and her flat delivery. Kamala's delivery is so bad it makes you wish to hear Hillary instead of Kamala.

ho hum. Piss all you want. Fact: mock CNN in favor of zerohedge, a place that is known to be anonymous and is very right wing? Fact: Biden's popularity is way up nationwide so what you say here is of no consequence.

I took Zerohedge off my daily reading list a year ago or longer. They brought back the scoundrel (A polite way of saying it) Simon Black. They also had too many 'articles' by the Russian influence/front group, the Strategic Culture Foundation.

I can list why I left Zerohedge and also why I first started reading it. You on the other hand are an unwashed asshole, whom the wife gave a computer (an "upgrayded" boob tube) to, so you wouldn't talk to her. You are an unwashed asshole, who is always a decade or more behind the times on what non-liberals read, because you get information from TPM.
