CBS News: As U.S. leaves, fear of civil war leads Afghans to plan "organized resistance against the Taliban"
Kabul — The beginning of the withdrawal of U.S. forces from Afghanistan on May 1 triggered a huge surge in Taliban attacks across the country.
CBS News correspondent Charlie D'Agata reports that the Burka district in Baghlan Province, north of Kabul, was seized by the Taliban just days ago — the latest ground to fall into the insurgents' hands.
Afghan forces were seen retreating to safer fighting positions around Burka this week, and the government said commandos had been sent to the region to back up the regular army.
The district fell just a day after Afghan troops had to call in U.S. airstrikes to halt a major Taliban offensive in the southern province of Helmand.
The Afghan government reported more than 100 Taliban attacks across 21 of the country's 36 provinces in just single day this week.

"To me it is a given that Afghanistan is entering an all-out civil war situation. And with the Taliban being backed by Pakistan, they are probably going to dominate the fight."
How were we going to win with the Taliban being backed by Pakistan?
We were not.
So Trump was right. Withdraw.
Cut off all aid to Pakistan, back India and put liberals in a museum next to the Neanderthal display.
Yo, misfit: Pakistan has nukes!!! why do you think we embrace them? to keep them from destroying India
Our embrace of Pakistan keeps them from destroying India?
You want to defend the above statement, which you made? So after the Soviets left Afghanistan and out aid to Pakistan plummeted, so did our embrasure of Pakistan. Yet India was still un-nuked.
Maybe the museum piece might consider that Indo-Pakistan MAD keeps India undestroyed not US aid to Pakistan. MAD is credited in part or during some periods in the Cold War of keeping the US and USSR form nuking each other.
How do we embrace Pakistan? By giving them money? What is the minimum or threshold amount, which we must give them so they won't nuke India? Or is it telling them that they are good people. They persecute and murder Christian Hindu and Shia Pakistanis, but what of it? We have Portland. what does embrace mean in terms of public announcements, US monies or something else?
I think you cannot specifically say. You will keep spouting adjectives, adverbs, nouns and verbs that sound nice but really are not all that measurable. After all it is not like you are intelligent, obtained a worthwhile degree or have valuable job experience. You are a
tumble weed just stumbling along following the herd. Did you start off like Michael Savage?
Michael Savage is very direct and specific as to why he gave up social work. He went on got his doctorate and a successful career unlike the follower.
Back to Pakistan. Because they have nukes they can fund and direct an insurgency, The Taliban, against us. But turn that around. We have nukes. Why does not Pakistan embrace us so that we do not destroy the Taliban with nukes or something?
Your reply is not awaited. It is more of a curiosity such as a half bored, half interested museum patron going by the Neanderthal display, who will never go into anthropology or archeology.
India has nukes. Pakistan has nukes. Pakistan makes it very clear that we will have no peek, or any awareness of where they are and how protected. So we supply them with lots of aid to help them protect against domestic terrorists who might try to get hold of those nukes. India, also with nukes, is in the same situation we were with Russia during the cold war; mutual self-destruction. Our help then is to protect against Pakistan's domestic theft of nukes. Happy now?
Now show me where I am wrong
According to your calculations Pakistan nukes should have been stolen and India nuked between 1992 and 2001. Look at the graph. right, you will not, you do not do anything with numbers, measurements/metrics or analytical except in a waving your hand sort of way.

How is it at 12:13 you learned how to punctuate and capitalize. Not only that, but we have complete sentences from you. It is all McGurkin.
Pakistan harbors, creates, nurtures, funds and protects terrorists. If Muslim terrorists get Pakistan's nukes it will be blowback for all the young minds they inculcated with hate and which they themselves trained in terrorism.
Your mother should have aborted you. But where you live peple appreciate paid trolls.

"Your mother should have aborted you."
Please gentlemen lets not sink this low in our arguments against one another.Please.
Someone opined that we should never get rid of liberals, ever. Once we defeat liberals and relegate liberalism to the ash heap of history, we should keep one in a museum behind glass, so we never forget how bad they were.
Someone took great offense to being called a museum piece although I believe they look forward to be put on display and having more than 15 minutes. 12:13 was so angry that he was cussing and swearing a blue streak although he had been called not one cuss word.

Question is how many of these organizations does Pakistan fund, mentor, control or otherwise engage?
* Pakistan has pet terror groups it finds and gives safe haven, so they can attack India.
* Pakistan has pet terror groups it finds and gives safe haven, so they can attack Iran.
* Pakistan has pet terror groups it finds and gives safe haven, so they can attack Afghanistan.
It is just a thought, but maybe people including the Pak Attack would have to worry about nukes falling into the hands of people more extreme than them, if they would not fund so many groups?

Does Pakistan fund 12:13's spew?
Pakistan has many terror groups. Pakistan has nukes. We send them lots of money to try to keep the nukes from terror groups. simple. But not for a number of people here.
1. who is our legal president?
2. that Iran money is Irans. Do you know why we held it and why we now will return it? If not, find out.
3. show evidence Saudis have nukes!
4. Saudi has it, would-be terrorists, under control. Pakistan trying to control but get an assist with money help from us to protect nukes from terrorists. Look that up.
5. yours, then, is a thinking fail
1. who is our legal president?
That would depend if the law is executed faithfully or haphazardly. Law is like an object. It is neither good nor bad. It depends on the users.
2. that Iran money is Irans. Do you know why we held it and why we now will return it? If not, find out.
The money the Pre-Khomeini government paid to the US for armaments not delivered, no more should be returned to said regime than the armament s and for the same reasons. Giving that hostile and violent regime armaments would be stupid and immoral. Given the money back to the new "government " would be just as stupid and immoral. They could take said money and buy Soviet or Chinese weapons and go on to commit even more mayhem. If you cannot make a case for giving them the weapons, then you cannot make a case for giving them the money. The 3rd option is to hold onto the money letting it collect interest and return it t the Iranian people, when they have a decent government.
3. show evidence Saudis have nukes!
Saudi Arabia funded the Pakistani nuke program. They do it for free?
4. Saudi has it, would-be terrorists, under control. Pakistan trying to control but get an assist with money help from us to protect nukes from terrorists. Look that up.
The Pakistanis might be beset at time by terrorists. No amount of money we give them will ameliorate the situation, since the Pakistanis create the terrorists. The more money we give them, the more groups or fronts they make. The larger they grow their terror groups. Giving them money makes things worse not better.
