Wall Street Journal: Police in Cities Across U.S. Brace for a Violent Summer
Police departments in New York City and other large metro areas across the U.S. are bulking up patrols and implementing new tactics to prepare for what they say could be a violent summer.
States lifting Covid-19 restrictions and more people out in public spaces in warmer weather increase the likelihood of more shootings, as well as less-serious crimes, officials say. Many crimes, including violent ones, normally rise in summer. Gun purchases also rose during the pandemic and cities have seen an increase in guns being used in crimes.
Shootings and homicides in big U.S. cities are up this year again after rising last year. In the last three months of 2020, homicides rose 32.2% in cities with a population of at least one million, according to the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Quarterly Uniform Crime Report.

Boneheaded would be several steps up for Biden.
I live in downtown Chicago. Out of about 400 cases of identified looters from last year, fewer than 10 have led to jail-time (I believe only 7). There was a recent anonymous interview with African-American Chicago police officers where they talked about the increasing difficulty of policing, and the frustration of pointless arrests when prosecution is not pursued or seen-through.
2020 saw a 50% increase in homicides over 2019, and 2021 is on track to be in the top three deadliest years in Chicago of all time...it may even take the number one spot depending on how the rest of the year goes. A number of police officers have been shot already this year, and now there has been a push to make foot pursuits require supervisory approval, and now search warrants require both a the presence of a Lieutenant and at least one female officer.
All of these things compound: increasing violence, increasing homicides, fewer foot pursuits, few search warrants executed, and trashed morale over pointless efforts to arrest criminals only for charges to be dropped consistently. On top of this, I can't even count how many times I've seen people on the street get into officers faces (unsolicited) and call them murderers or say "F*** you pigs!"...interestingly (and anecdotal) but I have witnessed these interactions many times and it has always been white people doing the shouting with at least one or more officers of color in the group being shouted at. In fact, after the Adam Toledo shooting (before any information or body cam footage had been released) I watched a mini-van cruise down State street with 4 white girls crowded in the back with the hatch open and a megaphone shouting "F*** you pigs! STOP MURDERING US" as they drove by a CPD cruiser with 2 black officers standing there looking puzzled.
Anyway, I have interactions with CPD regularly as they support many non-profits around the city (non-profits overwhelmingly helping communities of color btw), and they are very diverse, and the black and hispanic cops are just as confused and frustrated as the white ones because 99% of them are just trying to do their jobs and serve their communities...often having come themselves from the most violence and poverty ridden neighborhoods of Chicago...but it's always the wealthy, mostly white Chicagoans in the safest neighborhoods who have all the answers despite never stepping foot in Englewood or Austin or any other hood.
People don't seem to realise what's happening
The left, the Democrats, are now controlled by Marxists.
They want to rid the last institutions of any resistance against their communist takeover
They've already got the universities and managed to steal the election
They're purging the misery
The fbi is already deeply political and has lost all trust among half of the population, often being targeted for political gain by them
The last bastion that was right/ Republican were the cops. They're now systematically targeted by violence promotes like BLM and Maxine Waters who is a lawmaker and called for violence in your streets for the goal of political gain. It's unbelievable and people need top start standing up...
