THE US is at risk of losing its status as a “drone superpower” and there are fears that “killer robots” could get into the hands of rogue actors in the future, according to an expert.
Author and expert Seth J Frantzman said Washington was the “only superpower” in the decade after the end of the Cold War but powers such as China could threaten US dominance. He said the US didn't have any "real rivalries" throughout the 1990s.
Frantzman told The Sun: "If you are a global hegemon like the United States, you can just fly drones forever over a place like Afghanistan. No one is going to shoot you down. "You don’t need to innovate and have a new product or weapon because nothing can destroy it and that’s why I think you see there is a 'slowdown' in creating new and interesting platforms.

Really want to argue against your points, but I can't. Unfortunately they are spot on.
Some unforeseen event needs to occur. Something utterly devastating to China and Western Marxists. I have no idea what that event might be, but I can almost guarantee it will be something totally unexpected. Like most major geopolitical events are.
We are in a downfall way more and more and....we don't want to spend enough money for catching up. If we are losing a battle we will be in shock, yes, but too late.
It does make sense that China is advanced in drone tech. combine stolen technology, slave labor and an authoritarian surveillance state - you have the prime development platform for some really nifty drones.
Throw in the fact that all Chinese drones are bugged to transmit any data they pick up right back to the ChiComms.
Now it's very effectively getting into everybodys head. We will see a not catching up attitude but a whole lot scares. Aside from massive inventory suppossedly in whole but just half to cut budget short, they spend also on inflicting to our heads to cut the time short. Yes they pay for your heads.
