DNYUZ/New York Times: Israel Finds Planes That Could Be Key to a Strike on Iran Badly Back-Ordered
WASHINGTON — Israel asked the Biden administration last week to speed up the delivery of refueling tankers that could prove critical to striking Iran’s nuclear facilities, but it was told that the aircraft were back-ordered and it was unlikely that its first one would be ready until late 2024, according to U.S. and Israeli officials.
The Israeli defense minister, Benny Gantz, made the request last week when he met with Defense Secretary Lloyd J. Austin III and other senior officials in Washington. Details were reported earlier by Yedioth Ahronoth, an Israeli newspaper.
While U.S. officials told Mr. Gantz that they would work to alleviate a production backlog, the timing of the delivery is a crucial issue: Biden administration officials are concerned that Prime Minister Naftali Bennett of Israel is trying to revive the threat of a military strike against Iran, after arguing that diplomacy has failed and that the country is closer than ever to a threshold capability of building a nuclear weapon.

Once the Biden buggers came into office they told the contractor to slow it down.
The IAF currently has 7 KC-135s (707s) and 4 KC-130s in sevice. I'm not a Iran-strike strategist, but that seems like enough air-refueling to get the job done.
"Fight with what you have".
But of course we all hope that a Israeli strike will be unnecessary.
So the IDF has 11 refuelers. Unless they do not have the range, capacity or something else to put together enough packages for a strike, what is the problem?
Is this more of a way to get DC's impramatur?
What a clown show. Israel saw this coming for years! It's only now they realize they need more tanker jets?? Lack of planning makes them look foolish (unless they actual have sufficient tankers, as another poster mentioned, and this story is just PSYOPS designed to drop Iranian guard.)
If Hesbos wins so much why don't they follow their rockets across the border into Israel and conquer it?
Hesbo has been in Syria for a decade and still as not won and they have Russian and Iranian help.
sad
Erdogan must worry a lot: Biden is going to take the lead of "Clown of the World".
I think you're right on the psyops and that Israel has had years to deal with this problem. Biden's decision frees Israel from US policy concerns.
Exactly, if they reach that point they will get the job done with what they have.
