OilPrie.com: Soaring Food Prices Prompt Eurasian Nations To Ban Food Exports
The harshest winter since 2008 is contributing to shortages of staple vegetables across Central Asia and sending prices north in a region still suffering from COVID-induced food inflation.
In Uzbekistan, record frosts have highlighted the shortcomings of the national energy system as even residents of the capital spent days on end without power. But the cold has also hammered the agriculture sector in the region’s most populous country.
On January 20, the Uzbek agriculture minister announced a four-month ban on exports of onions after prices doubled in three weeks. The title of the ministry’s press release – “there are reserves of onions in Uzbekistan” – hints at panic.
Once among the cheapest onions produced by former Soviet countries, Uzbek onions are now as expensive as onions from countries like Georgia and Moldova, the ministry said, reaching 6,000-8,000 sum (53-71 cents) per kilo.

Who's to blame will soon be moot. This is just the beginning of a very long crisis unfolding as the world order of the last 75 years continues to unravel. It will affect much more than just global food supplies. I'd say it's time to prep, but few of us can afford to stockpile everything that will be in short supply.
It's probably very wise to be prepped these times...
Our OWN governments are causing this
First the lockdowns - against science - killing thousands (who then committed suicide, incl. children), destroying our economy
Then, they break our promise not to expand NATO - against the will of the citizens!
Then they shut down our oil pipelines, reapprorpiate farm land from private farmers, shutting down thousands of perfectly good, productive, environmentally friendly farms. Why they do it? They tell you to save the planet. In reality they passed these farms on to mega-corporations, who now hold 80% of all global farmland. They are creating cartels, making them bigger, while making us dependent on them.
This is not democracy.
This is all against the will of its people.
This IS tyranny.
And we have to hang these people.
No ifs. No buts. No coconuts lol
We have to trial and hang them, publicly for all to see, so this nightmare of war and famine and poverty ends, so we can live freely and prosper again.
Not under the boots of these warmongering, lying, ghouls. Whatever they are, whoever is involved.
well hung?
you can't hang shades
Here is what you do say when people ask snide questions about prepping
A. I only do what the government does. Their law enforcement buys bullets...So do I.
B. They stock up on food. So do I
C. They stock up on meds. So do I
D. They put fuel in researve. So do I
Fema calls this resiliency, not hoarding.
It is not hoarding when you buy before the shortage.
But after the shortage starts and you gobble up items..That fits the definition
Good luck to you all.
Problems in Pakistan and Afghanistan are the direct result of Muslims factions fucking over everyone not Muslim or not their type of Muslim.
Pakistan was the largest and longest outside actor in Afghanistan. Pakistan made the Taliban. Pakistan stabbed the US in the back. Pakistan persecutes citizens who are not Muslim. Pakistan fucks with India all the time.
With all their evil machinations, Pakistan has not time for a decent economy. So here they are.
