Axios: Biden says “other team,” not Israel, likely responsible for Gaza hospital explosion
President Biden, in remarks just after landing in Israel, said "it appears" Israel was not responsible for the blast at a hospital in Gaza that killed hundreds of Palestinians, according to the Hamas-controlled health ministry.
What he's saying: "Based on what I've seen, it appears as though it was done by the other team, not you. But there's a lot of people out there, not sure," Biden said. * Asked later on Wednesday why he believed that Israel was not responsible, Biden replied: "The data I was shown by my Defense Department."

As to what is my take.
I am not a weapons expert, and I am certainly not an expert to a blast site. But the area around the hospital had already experienced dozens of Israeli missile attacks over a 24 hour period, and was the principle reason why many had fled to the hospital courtyard/parking lot hoping for safety even though Israel was warning everyone to get out.
And then there was the IDF response to the allegations that it was their missile that caused this catastrophe. It was not only the total lack of empathy on what had happened, but the body language, smugness and the grinning of the spokesman who was denying the allegations that Israel was responsible for this massacre just did not sit well with me. It was more like .... "yeah, we know you are blaming us for this attack, but you cannot prove it".
Here is an easy and sad prediction. Since the start of the war we have seen barbarism and brutality by both sides against civilians in this war. It is going to get worse.

This entire situation is going "south" quickly. Biden's performance today and then being snubbed by every leader in the middle east is a disaster. These people, including Israel only understand power and brute force, not the diplomatic incompetence and silliness that Blinken and Biden are showcasing.
It is almost like Israel wants to settle this score, settle it 110% now and does not give a sheet what the USA or anyone else does or says. They are done.

I watched the briefing by IDF Spokesperson, Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari where he presented facts indicating that Israeli did not bomb the hospital. I did not see any smugness or grinning or cocky body language on his part. I saw a man give a briefing in English, a language obviously not his native tongue, speaking slowly to be certain he is communicating clearly.
