Latest Release Of JFK Assassination Files Has One Document That Details The Sex Life Of Martin Luther King

Newsweek: JFK File: FBI Monitored Martin Luther King's 'Abnormal' Sex Life of Orgies, Hookers and Joan Baez

|Updated The Trump administration released an FBI document containing allegations about the sexual misconduct of Martin Luther King as part of its declassification of information relating to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

The 1968 document alleges financial improprieties by King’s civil rights organization, the Southern Christian Leadership Conference, attempts to tie King to communist organizations and details a series of claims about King’s multiple alleged affairs.

It is not clear if any of the information in the dossier was verified. It makes no mention of JFK, and the FBI has not disclosed why it was held as part of a cache of documents relating to the Kennedy assassination.

Former FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover's antipathy to King is well documented, and he went to extreme lenths, inlcuding authorising breaking into and bugging King's home and offices, to destroy his reputation. The zeal of the FBI's campaign against King has been outlined in tens of thousands of declassified FBI memos from the 1960s, and Congressional hearings on the FBI's harrassment of King in the 1970s.

The declassified file is not the first time FBI information about King's infidelity has been made public. The wiretaps that recorded information about King's affairs - which the FBI tried to use against King -- first emerged via congressional hearings in the 1970s.

WNU Editor: The FBI document on Martin Luther King is here. Reading this document surprised me .... not because of its contents .... nope .... it surprised me because I read about Martin Luther King's history with women and his Communist ties in (of all places) Russian media in the ewarly 1990s. This happened after the fall of the Soviet Union a number of documents from Soviet intelligence archives became public .... Martin Luther King included. I do not remember the context on why the story was reported .... all that I remember about that news report was that it detailed Mr. King's personal life  and that he was a Communist sympathizer. Are these reports true .... hmmmm .... probably not. I have yet to see any concrete evidence, and I doubt any will pop-up now. But what is interesting is that both the FBI and the KGB were very focused on what Martin Luther King was doing.

The Remaining JFK Files Will Be Released

Zero Hedge: Trump Confirms "All JFK Files Are Released" After Latest Clash With Spy Agencies

Update: Following Friday's disappointing release of some, but not all, remaining files related to the death of President John F. Kennedy, President Trump just confirmed, via tweet, that the rest of the files are released, well ahead of schedule...

Of course, given that this is the government - and the government does not work weekends - the files are unlikely to be released on to the official National Archives site until Monday.

This appears to be a victory for Trump in his never-ending battle with the intelligence agencies.

WNU Editor: Sorry for the delay and sporadic blogging these past two days. I have been spending the weekend going through these files, and reaction to it. The files are a fascinating read into how the U.S. government works when a tragedy such as a Presidential assassination occurs. I will be giving a my own assessment on the files MOnday morning.

Toronto Sun/Washington Post: JFK files reveal sex parties, a stripper named Kitty, surveillance and assassination plots

President Donald Trump ordered the release of more than 2,800 records related to the John F. Kennedy assassination on Thursday, but bowed to pressure from the CIA, FBI and other agencies to delay disclosing some of the most sensitive documents for another six months. Even so, the thousands of pages that were published online by the National Archives Thursday evening describe decades of spies and surveillance, informants and assassination plots.

More than a dozen reporters and editors for The Washington Post combed through the documents on Thursday night. Here are some of the wildest things they found, some of which have been reported about before and some new.

On a side note .... sorry for the lack of blog posts this morning. I have been spending my time reading the JFK files and the reaction to what is in those files. It is quite a read. On a sad note .... I wish my father was alive to read all of this. He was fascinated by the John F. Kennedy assassination, and he always believed that there was more than one person involved, as well as a Communist link/angle to it (but not direct Soviet or Cuban government involvement).

Zero Hedge: The One Paragraph You Need To Read From The JFK Assassination Files That May Change Everything

TruePundit.com warns that one haunting paragraph unearthed from 3,000 never-before-seen documents will shake Patriots to their core about the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

Or perhaps worse. Make that haunting three paragraphs.

This is not pretty.

WNU Editor: First things first .... kudos to President Trump for releasing all of the JFK assassination files .... including the last few hundred that were delayed because of security concerns (the names and addresses of the still living have been redacted that permitted this last batch to be released). The above paragraph quoting the Surgeon General's report that the first bullet entered President Kennedy throat below the Adam's Apple is stunning .... and even more shocking .... is that Jack Ruby and Lee Harvey Oswald knew each other before the assassination. Sighhh .... and we are only learning abut this now 54 years later .... this is not right. The U.S. main stream media has not picked up this story yet, but the U.K. media and social media has, and as expected .... people who were alive when the assassination occurred, and who remember where they were when they first learned about it .... are genuinely shocked. The complete FBI memo is here.

Update: For those who believe in conspiracies .... the release of the JFK files will keep this one going into the next century .... FBI informant claimed Dallas police officer J.D Tippit was the REAL JFK assassin - not Lee Harvey Oswald, secret files reveal (Daily Mail).

JFK Assassination Files: Soviet Agents Were Afraid That They Would Be Blamed For President Kennedy's Assassination

The Soviet Union feared they were going to get blamed for putting 'neurotic maniac' Lee Harvey Oswald (pictured on November 22, 1963) up to assassinating John F Kennedy, one of more than 2,800 newly released assassination files has revealed

Daily Mail: A plot by America's 'ultra-right' or a hit ordered by LBJ: JFK files reveal Soviet agents' wild theories about Kennedy's assassination and how they feared a nuclear strike if THEY were blamed

* The White House has released more than 2,800 files about JFK's assassination
* Soviets 'feared being blamed for putting Lee Harvey Oswald up to assassination'
* Soviet Union also feared that a panicked US military would lash out at them
* They also believed Dallas Police Dept was an 'accessory' to the assassination
* Documents reveal everything CIA learned about the Soviet reaction to the killing and what its agents might have known about Oswald
* Soviets declared Oswald a 'neurotic maniac who was disloyal to his own country'
* JFK was shot in head while riding in a motorcade in Dallas on November 22, 1963
* Although Oswald was named as the sole shooter after a DC investigation, rumors remain of a second shooter and foreign plots
* The administration has essentially 'kicked the can a bit,' by not releasing the JFK files in their entirety, a White House aide admitted

The Soviet Union feared it would be hit with a nuclear strike if it was blamed for putting 'neurotic maniac' Lee Harvey Oswald up to assassinating John F Kennedy, newly released files have revealed.

The trove of 2,800 files were published on the National Archives website Thursday night, but President Donald Trump kept at least 300 documents back so federal agencies could black out portions.

In one FBI document dated December 1, 1963, from director J Edgar Hoover, the agency reveals everything it had learned about the Soviet reaction to the JFK assassination and what its agents might have known about Oswald.

JFK Assassination Files: FBI Director Told That Someone Made A Call To British Newspaper That Something Big Was Going To Happen In 25 Minutes

The Telegraph: British newspaper received mystery call minutes before JFK assassination

A British newspaper received a mystery call minutes before the assassination of John F Kennedy.

This is one of the most astonishing revelations from the JFK files, released on Thursday.

The revelation was made in papers relating to the killing, which happened on November 22 1963.

A memo to the director of FBI revealed that a call was made to the senior reporter at the Cambridge News at 6.05pm on the day Kennedy was shot in Dallas, Texas.

The document, from deputy director James Angleton, said: "The British Security Service (MI-5) has reported that at 1805GMT on 22 November an anonymous telephone call was made in Cambridge, England, to the senior reporter of the Cambridge News.

About 2,800 JFK Assasination Documents Released, Others Delayed

New York Times: National Archives Release Files on John F. Kennedy’s Assassination

• The federal government just released thousands of documents related to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy in 1963.

• The papers were posted online by the National Archives in compliance with a 1992 law requiring their release after 25 years.

• After a chaotic last-minute review in which intelligence agencies lobbied against full disclosure, the White House said it would take more time to process and release thousands more documents that were also supposed to be made public. It set a deadline of late April for the release of those documents.

Citing security concerns, Trump held back some of the documents.

The papers were being posted online by the National Archives and Records Administration in compliance with a 1992 law requiring their release after 25 years. But President Trump agreed to postpone the release of thousands more files that were supposed to be made public, pending a review that should end on April 26.

Release Of JFK Assassination File Delayed

NBC: Release of JFK Assassination File Is Delayed as Deadline Looms

The U.S. government was in danger Thursday of missing the deadline to release a trove of previously classified records from the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, adding an unexpected twist to a saga already rife with rumors and conspiracies.

The law says the National Archives must release the 35,000 documents by midnight unless President Donald Trump objects on national security grounds. On Thursday evening, U.S. officials said that some material would be released, and other documents would be withheld to give agencies more time to figure out what they want redacted.

By late Thursday afternoon, the memo specifying which material the CIA, State Department and other agencies still want to keep under wraps had yet not made it to Trump’s desk, U.S. intelligence officials told NBC News.

“There’s a mad scramble going on in the executive branch to get this done,” one official said.

The John F. Kennedy Assassination File Release Is Imminent

CNN: More than 50 years of theories: JFK file release imminent

Washington (CNN)President John F. Kennedy's death gave birth to decades of competing theories -- and a mountain of government paperwork.

Over the years, those theories sprawled, and the government made some of its document hoard public.

Seeking to settle the matter once and for all, Congress passed a law 25 years ago mandating the government release all its documents and giving agencies a long window to keep sensitive information secret.

And this Thursday, in pursuant with the JFK Records Act, the remaining few thousand secret government documents relating to the assassination -- from a total that once made up millions -- will see the light of day, barring a block from President Donald Trump.

The CIA Still Wants To Keep The JFK Assassination Documents Sealed

Philip Shenon and Larry J. Sabato, Politico: The JFK Document Dump Could Be a Fiasco

Later this month, the National Archives is set to release thousands of documents about John F. Kennedy’s assassination. It’s likely to fuel conspiracy theorists for years.

The federal government’s long campaign to try to choke off rampant conspiracy theories about the November 1963 assassination of President John F. Kennedy is threatening to end this month in massive confusion, if not chaos.

Within the next two weeks, the National Archives is legally obligated to release the last of thousands of secret documents from government files about the assassination, most of them from the CIA, FBI and the Justice Department.

And there is every indication that the massive document dump—especially if any of it is blocked by President Donald Trump, the only person empowered under the law to stop the release of the files—will simply help fuel a new generation of conspiracy theories.

Should The FBI And CIA Files On The Assassination Of President Kennedy Be Opened To The Public?

Daily Mail: Could Trump open the Kennedy files? President must decide within weeks on releasing the last secret CIA and FBI assassination files

* The 1992 JFK Assassination Records Collection Act set at 25-year timetable for declassification of assassination records dealing with President Kennedy
* The law grants sole power to the president to stop declassification
* A White House official said it was working with the National Archives on a smooth release of documents
* Trump has touted multiple conspiracy theories – and during the campaign brought up a National Enquirer Story that claimed the father of Ted Cruz was pictured with Kennedy assassin Lee Harvey Oswald

He has floated some conspiracy theories for years, but now President Donald Trump will get to play a crucial role in the long-running saga over the government's Kennedy assassination records.
The 1992 JFK Assassination Records Collection Act, signed by President George H.W. Bush, set a 25-year timetable for declassification of assassination records dealing with President Kennedy.
The law set up a single collection of records at the National Archives, and set up a process for declassification. The law required the release of all government records dealing with the assassination within 25 years – with the exception of those the president certifies for postponed release.

50 Years Ago: JFK's Tragic Final Hours -- FOX News

Fifty years ago today, President John F. Kennedy died, a stunned nation grieved and a million conspiracy theories were born.

It was just after noon local time on Nov. 22, 1963, when the limousine carrying Kennedy entered Dealey Plaza in Dallas, its bubble top down so a smiling president, riding in the back seat with First lady Jackie Kennedy, could wave to an adoring crowd. The boyish president, a World War II Navy hero, author and former U.S. senator from Massachusetts, was just 46 and not quite three years into his first term as commander-in-chief.

Newly Found Air Force One Audio Tapes On The Day JFK Was Assassinated

Listen To Newly Found Air Force One Tapes Of Day JFK Was Assassinated -- CNN

"Give me all available information on president, over."

As history was unfolding at Dealey Plaza, radio and telephone communications squawked between the Air Force command center, the White House, and Air Force One.

"Wayside, this is Situation Room. I read from the AP bulletin.

Kennedy apparently shot in head, he fell face down in the backseat of his car.

Blood was on his head. Mrs. Kennedy cried "Oh no," and tried to hold up his head."

Earlier this year, these rare audio recordings were discovered in the personal effects of Gen. Chester Clifton, Jr., a military aide to President John F. Kennedy. "... postmortem that has to be done by law, under God, performed at Walter Reed."

"Its' spine tingling. It gives you goose bumps to listen to it especially being alive when this happened," said forensic audio and video expert Ed Primeau, tasked with re-mastering and piecing together the new tape with older incomplete copies.
